From 810 to 3800 metres above sea level, Bourg-Saint-Maurice and its surrounding ski resorts of Les Arcs 1600, Les Arcs 1800, Les Arcs 1950 and Les Arcs 2000 welcome visitors year round. The program: skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, fresh air, the great outdoors, serenity and new found freedom!
Les Arcs is made up of five different villages, each with a character of its own:
- Bourg Saint Maurice, a traditional Savoyard town which is proud of its local handicrafts and great gastronomic traditions
- Les Arcs 1600: The original resort destination as a warm and friendly modern ski resort, it blends innovative architecture with beautiful mountain scenery.
- Les Arcs 1800: Whether it is shopping, dancing or pampering everything is within your reach. Discover the 360-degree panorama views with a focus on Mont Blanc.
- Les Arcs 1950: A 4-star residence where all is charm, luxury and pleasure. Always warm and festive, the atmosphere surrounds the villages' continuous animations.
- Les Arcs 2000: Ski heaven with guaranteed snow. What with easy slopes for beginners and the mixed terrain ski runs which could also amuse even the true enthusiasts. The Olympic ski run allows everyone to test their top speed.
(The connection between Bourg St Maurice and Les Arcs 1600 takes only 7 minutes via the funicular railway "Arc-en-ciel").
Les Arcs is also part of the Paradiski. This ski paradise has 425km of marked ski runs which are hugely diverse, meandering through the high alpine along with an array of typical alpine mountain villages, forests and powder fields.
For those who weren't born to have skis strapped on their feet there is also a lot to do: Snowshoeing, hiking, all kinds of entertainment in the heart of the resort, in the end of the day you're spoiled for choice!
It's always good to feel a little bit of an ache after a day on the slopes, there's nothing better but to relax in the evening! In Les Arcs, you will find everything you need to have a great evening out: movie theatres, restaurants, nightclubs and not to mention the whole array of different events organised in town!
