Skistedet Vassfjellet Skisenter ligger kun 8km syd for Trondheims bygrense, i Klæbu. Med 6 skiheiser, 10 nedfarter og total fallhøyde 460m, kan de tilby et av Norges største bynære alpinanlegg. Nært nok for en kveldstur i noen av landets beste flomlysbakker 5,2 km. Det finnes lune, varierte bakker i alle vanskelighetsgrader både for alpint, telemark og snowboard. Et topp moderne snøanlegg med 42 snøkanoner i 4km bakker sikrer snøforholdene. Maskinpreparert halfpipe og to terrengparker. Populær offpiste med hyppig løssnø i toppområdet.
