I can definetly recommend this valley for a skiing day! The weather tends to be good not much wind.
Relaxing place to stay few days. Plenty of activities to do in all year seasons. Cosy athmosphere. Amazing views. Slopes in a good condition.
Low amount of slopes and freestyle zones

Its great for beginners and families with kids since all the slopes are easy and they offer many programs for kids and family activities. The hotel next to the slopes in the valley is very nice and they rent ski and snowboard equipment there. To eat during the day I suggest to bring your own food since the place at the hotel and the one on the mountain are terrible (on the mountain the offer two sandwiches; hotdog or hamburger and both aren't good). The lifts at this resort are old, slow, and are likely not to work when there is wind. The snow in this resort is usually scarce and never of good quality, mostly wet or frozen because of this resorts low elevation. If you are lucky enough to get "powder" I suggest to try ski down next the poles of the lift, it isn't sloped and you can get a beginner's taste of skiing between trees and offpist skiing (or riding). Anyway, it is nice for beginners or family vacations but I would avoid to go here.
Close to Barcelona and cheap
They rarely have good snow and the lifts are probably not going to work if there is some wind
Val de Nuria is a historic religious centre near the shrine of the Virgin of Nuria, accessed by a rack railway, and surrounded by a ring of high mountains in the Girona Pyrenees. The setting is spectacular but the skiing is not the priority, although they’ve been doing it here for 75 years. The skiable vertical is a little less than 1000 feet and at best there’s ten miles of runs, most of it easy or intermediate although there is a 2000 foot long black. There’s limited uplift, but it does include a modern quad and the altitude, backed up by limited snow making, means there’s usually at least some snow to enjoy.
